BACK HOME & GHETTO CHRISTMAS — 2026
VENtv has officially announced two major original film projects set to premiere in 2026, both starring and directed by acclaimed creative Bry’Neir Seymore. The projects—Back Home and Ghetto Christmas—underscore Seymore’s continued rise as a dynamic storyteller and performer, with each film delivering a unique blend of emotional depth and cultural resonance.
In Back Home, Seymore steps into the role of FBI Agent Marcus Anderwood, a driven federal officer who returns to his hometown in Mississippi to track down a high-priority fugitive. But as Marcus digs deeper into the investigation, he’s forced to reconnect with the estranged family he left behind after college. The film balances suspense, drama, and heart—exploring themes of reconciliation, identity, and the price of ambition.
In a bold creative turn, Seymore will portray six different characters in the film, showcasing his versatility as both an actor and filmmaker. He also directs the film alongside Prince TJ, who co-stars and serves as executive producer.
Ghetto Christmas is a hilarious and heartfelt holiday comedy centered around a young Atlanta DJ determined to make it home in time to host Christmas—only to find his biggest challenge isn’t the journey, but facing his judgmental family. As traditions clash with modern dreams, the film highlights generational conflict, family acceptance, and the magic of simply being together.
“This is about telling stories that speak to our experiences with honesty and humor,” said Seymore. “Back Home and Ghetto Christmas are completely different films—but both come from real, human places. I’m excited to share them with the world.”
