AJ The Comedian Aims to Balance the Comedy and the Realness Into His New Flick

AJ the Comedian is set to release his brand new movie after a 3 year break from releasing films. This marks his first film since the 2020 hit, A Dysfunctional Big Happy Family as well as the 2021 hit stage play, "Tears of a Mad Black Woman."

AJ the Comedian's "A Mama Kay's Family Reunion" features a unique story of the infamous Braxton family coming together for one wild and hilarious ride full of laughter and family bonds.

In this new film, Mama Kay oversees a family reunion held at Mattie’s house this year, when the matriarchs let Pam and Lina plan the family reunion what seems to be under control turns into a hostile confrontation that puts a damper on the joyous occasion. With the stern truth speaking guidance of the family matriarch Mama Kay, will relationships get healed?

One particular unique asset of the film features the conversation about Homosexuality. "I want to express the acceptance of Homosexuality in the Black households because I want my audience to realize and recognize the strength of the family and the family bond," writer & director AJ the Comedian expressed. The film has received tons of positive feedback since its premiere on Friday, May 24.

The 2024 film starring AJ the Comedian, Dino Pickett, Reginald "Reggie P Double OG" Pitts, The Comedian Jayy and Ahmahd "Mahd" Lucas will debut on VENtv Plus in the U.S. on Monday, May 27.
