Courtney Starks Joins 'The Joy' as Co-Host

Award-winning Host and Author, Courtney Starks has been named the newest co-host of "The Joy," Seymore Productions has learned.
Starks is joining the syndicated talk show, following the departure of Damian Anderson, who announced earlier this month that he decided to exit the show after the SAG-AFTRA strike.
The show returns with brand new episodes Jan. 8. The panel will feature Singer-songwriter and Host, Chan White, and Author and Award-winning Host, Courtney Starks.
"I am grateful that I was asked to join the dynamic panel of Joy. I love the authenticity to have a conversation authentically. It didn't feel forced, I felt like I was talking to people with real opinions," referring to his past experiences with the syndicated talk show.
Starks was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, by his loving grandmother after his mother passed away at age 30. Then in 2008, Courtney was told that the end of his life was inevitably coming due to a significant decline in his health. In 2014, just before he was about to go under for his first kidney transplant, Courtney was pulled from the donor list, as his heart condition made him inoperable. When all hope seemed lost, Courtney fought and pulled through, finally receiving his life-saving kidney transplant in 2017.
Today, Starks runs the Courtney’s Corner LLC brand Which focuses on impacting lives & sharing the stories of the voices that are unheard. He manages a YouTube talk show, owns a podcast called 'The Uncensored Podcast,' and is currently managing his new hit show One on One with Courtney Starks shown on IG Live and YouTube. Courtney faced battles that no human should have to, and has proven to be an iconic role model that instills positivity, hope, and strength in others so they can prosper through anything they face.
"The Joy" is a rare success story for the syndicated market. The daytime series which showcases a panel of entertainment personalities offering diverse perspectives on everyday family topics, hot-button issues, fashion, relationships, and their personal lives.
The successful daytime talk show began in September of this year, before quickly shutting down production for the 'WGA & the SAG-AFTRA strike.' The show announced it's returning with brand new episodes early in 2024.
